01 How much does a commercial EV charging station cost?

There is no reliable global total without the site and operating scope. Equipment type, power, port count, electrical capacity, cable route, civil work, local labour, permits, delivery and software all change the budget.

02 Why can installation cost more than the charger?

Long cable routes, trenching, surface restoration, new switchgear, protection, utility work and local labour can be a larger scope than mounting the equipment itself.

03 Does a charger quote include shipping and import costs?

Only when the quotation states the delivery term, destination, freight responsibility, insurance, duties and import scope. These items should never be assumed.

04 What ongoing costs should a site owner plan for?

Electricity, demand charges where applicable, network or software service, payment processing, connectivity, routine inspection, maintenance, support and spare parts.

05 Can managed charging reduce project cost?

It can limit or schedule charging demand and may reduce or defer some electrical work at suitable sites. The result depends on verified site capacity and vehicle schedules.

06 Can you calculate payback from charger count alone?

No. A useful commercial model also needs local electricity cost, selling price, utilization, energy per session, payment fees, operating cost, capital cost and the utilization ramp.
